Slow to Pull Me In but the Last 2 Books Were Worth the Effort.

Updated: Feb 3, 2021

I am currently finishing up the trilogy called "The Keeper Chronicles". It features 3 stories that focus on 3 different main characters. While the others do appear in the other novels, each book has a focus on a different character. I haven't just quit reading, so it is good enough to keep my interest, and at a whopping 46hrs and 32 min for a single credit, it has been worth the purchase. Our listeners know that I tend to stick with fantasy for my literature, so if that is you cup of tea, you might want to check it out. It has an inventive magic system and while the first book left me wondering if I would continue, I gave the second book a chance, and I'm glad I did. It got much better. I would recommend the series if you looking for something to kill some time with. Definitely look for the complete trilogy deal though.

Publisher's Summary

When Mallon the Undying threatened the land years ago, the elves stopped him - and then disappeared.

Now Mallon's followers seek to bring him back to finish what he started.

Only the Keepers - storytellers, historians, and magic-wielders - are left to stand against them.

Alaric, who betrayed everything he believed to save his wife - and still failed.

Will, a storyteller who’s convinced his weak magic makes him useless.

And Sini, a former slave girl with unimaginable power but no way to wield it.

Can they survive being hunted by dragons, attacked by frost goblins, and betrayed by traitors in their midst?

Or will Mallon's minions overwhelm them and plunge the land into darkness?
